The essence of the system lies in its simple construction; the technology allows us to solve the structural construction and perfect, thermal bridge-free thermal insulation in one step. Our construction system is a permanent thermal insulation formwork made from the german BASF NEOPOR material.
BASF began developing its expertise and products in polystyrene foams more than 60 years ago. In 1951, the company patented its classic white expandable polystyrene product under the name Styropor®. It has been used in a wide range of insulation and packaging solutions.
In 1997, BASF took another big step forward when its engineers discovered that the insulating properties of white EPS could be significantly improved by enriching the material with tiny graphite particles. This resulted in a new product with enhanced insulation performance: Neopor®, which has since become a highly successful and recognized brand – as demonstrated by the incredible number of construction projects across Europe where it is used.
Neopor® is a further development of BASF's classic polystyrene foam, Styropor®, which contains graphite particles.
This allows the production of products with up to 20 percent better thermal insulation than using conventional white polystyrene. The result is an excellent cost-benefit ratio. Neopor is the powerful original grey with a thermal conductivity of 0.030-0.035 W/m*K (10°C)
Neopor works in the same way as conventional insulation, with one main difference – the high-purity graphite particles give the insulation a reflective property, which increases the energy efficiency of the material.
